As the title stated, my speedometer dead on me and then got a CEL and tc light. CEL error code 17. I replaced with a new sensor but still not functioning, can everyone give me their thoughts on what can possible be wrong. I've search on here but can't find anything useful. Thank you.

could be cluster related been seeing this alot recently.
do you have a chipped ECU? or an engine management system that piggybacks the OEM harness. as the ECu sends a speed pulse to the cluster after it gets the speed sensors input from the wheels
but I would say its the cluster from age
