Hi,
I'm considering on buying a front spoiler from Wings West..
I would like to know how many inches lower (from stock) the add-on lip will be?

thanks

i mounted mine right up against the stock lip spoiler as a guide so given the thickness of the materials of the spoiler i would say it was maybe 1/4 inch lower then a stock spoiler. I belive many people think that the WW Front is much lower because of the optical illusion it creates but in reality it is not much lower then the original.

Even without being much lower, it sticks out further reducing your approach clearance of driveways and speedbumps, etc.

Alsogives you about 2 inches less than you think before hitting a curb

Luckily I have yet to scrape mine.

Luckily I have yet to scrape mine.

Unlike me who drove into a curb 2 weeks after it was freshly installed!

Wonderful thing about the urethane though - extremely resiliant! No lasting damage - didn't even crack the paint.

There is very little difference in clearance. I've actually scrapped a few more parking blocks with the WW spoiler, but it shows no visible damage unlike the stock spoiler.

However, when you hit one of those 5 gallon painters buckets sitting in the middle of I-95 when going 100mph, you will get some cracking of the paint. I swear that the bucket must have whet 200ft up in the air!

Doc Lane, I guess it's unlike the possum I
took out at about 75 mph with the stock front.
Did spider the hell out of the lower spoiler paint though....
Oh, and he went down!:O

Since you guys have obviously had some front-end damage of your NSX, I've got to ask something. My NSX's lower bumper was damaged before I bought it, but the dealership that sold it to me claimed that it was new (it was actully poorly repaired). Anyway, it has spiderwebbed, and I need to replace it. Are there any alternatives to paying an arm and a leg to replace it?

If there are any good ones available, I wouldn't mind getting a nice aftermarket lower front bumper, as long as it's not too showy/ricey. Any suggestions?
