Speaker Problem

i believe the address is in the search somewhere. or you can call bose directly. this is a really common problem. if you cant find the address let me know, i have it somewhere.

also, make sure you pull the amp out. these are amplified speakers, and it is usually the amp that is bad.

good luck.

I have a little anoying buzzing coming from the pasanger door speaker. Has anyone else
had a problem similar to this? The drivers
side door speaker is fine. Thanks Dan

My passenger speaker was going pop, pop, pop crackle etc.
I know that it isn't often that speakers make a sound like this when they go and from past experience with BOSE car products know how the amps are prone to failure.
I got a new amp from http://mnrelectronics.com/ampoprepbost.html
Total install time including door panel R&I should be under 1hr. and it sounds great. Fast delivery too.

My right door speaker was doing the same thing
and was lower in sound than the drivers side. Acura wanted 980.00 just for the speaker and amp. I bought both door sides
out of a 98 for 200.00. The install was easy and took about an hour and works great. Dan

My Driver side door speaker is not working.. I think its because the amp got busted.. since theres still sound coming out from it just very faint compare to the passenger side one which is working. And the Rear center speaker. theres no sound at all. Also.. I heard about the bass is coming out from the foot well? where is it located? I never notice theres a speaker there..

Lastly.. where can I find a chart or diagram which shows the audio setup or wired.

What After market audio setup do you guys reccomend?

thankz

It must be the time of the year! On my way to work this morning my driver side speaker made a loud popping noise and now all I get out of it is static!

From this thread it sounds like it is the amp. How can I validate this>

I'm not 100% certain but I recall reading that although the Bose amps seem generic, there are actually different versions which are EQd for specific vehicles.

BostonNSX,

Check the electrical section of the shop manual (the link is on the www.nsxprime.com webpage). It is under "stereo sound system."

Oh, by the way, if you have lost two channels at once, I would think that the main unit on the dash may be the problem. I lost all three channels at once and it was my main dash unit.

Good luck.

I think my driver's door amp/speaker went out today. I heard a series of popping noises, kind of like grounding noises and now the left side plays at about 1/2 of the volume as the right and there seems to be no bass output from it. What do you guys think? Should I replace it or send it out for repair? Thanks.
