What the hell is that last spark plug pictured? Anyhow, the NGK Iridium IX is made by the same manufacturer as OEM, but now NGK states that the Iridium IX is their highest performance plug, not the Laser Platinum that the car came with many years ago.

This is a Honda engine at heart. Only NGK!! Adjust heat range for geographic location. Unless you are planing on driving to the moon or running at Sebring there is no need in buying the most expensive, high zoot model. Always use NGK, they won't foul without outside input and get the equivalent to the OEM model unless you just have money to throw away or you are racing.

The plugs are easy to change. Disconnect each electrical connector from each coil, unbolt/remove each coil and then go to the plugs. They are all reachable. Just be careful not to crossthread them upon installation.

I got 6 NGK Iridium IX plugs for $40 at O'reiley's. If the NGK Iridium IX is their highest performing plug, newer technology and cheaper than OEM I figured it was worth a go. It is cross referenced for the NSX on the NGK site. I am sure the OEM laser platinum is great, but I went with the Iridium IX, I will post if there are any issues.
