Hello,

Can someone confirm which of the sparco competition seats (other than the Rev) fits into the NSX. I weight 215 lbs and have a 38" waistline ( yeh, I know I need to loose a few pounds ) and I barely fit into their Rev model. I tried the Evo and Evo2 models and they were much more comfortable. The Evo felt just right while the Evo2 was just a bit too wide. I recall reading here that someone claimed the Evo/Evo2 would'nt fit into the NSX. I believe I also read that someone was able to fit the Pro2000 model into their NSX. Unfortunately, the shop I visited did'nt have a Pro2000 model for me to try out but they assured me that it designed to accommodate my generous girth. Anyone here with a similar girth as mine with Pro2000 seats can substantiate my salesman's comments?

I would also like to be able to slide the seat to make it easier to get in/out of the car, however I want to retain as much headroom as possible. Anyone using the SoS slider with this seat or similar 'wide load' seat from another mfg? How much headroom improvement did you end up getting over the factory seats? I'm hoping for 1.5" to 2" headroom improvement.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thxs,
Rui

Hi Rui --

Based on your post, I would recommend the Pro2000. It does, however, need to be installed slightly offset to the center of the car to prevent the wings from touching the doors. Unfortunately, they are too wide to fit the rails we offer. We are working on new rails that will offer clearance for wider seats. You can, however, also gain about 1-2" by removing the stock seat cushion.

Cheers,
-- Chris

Chris,

Yes, I know about the removal of the seat cushion but I have'nt tried it out yet. It might be fine as a temporary solution, however I would still like to get a proper race seat with a 5 pt. harness to keep me firmly planted in my seat. My school instructors keep complaining that I'm moving my upper body way too much.

Any idea when your new sliders may be available?

I use Sparco Torino and they fit the car perfectly.

One thing tho, I noticed I sweat more with the Torino than the oem seats.
