How about it? What are the pros and cons for using spacers (assume proper lugs are used) .....?

I don't think the 5 mm makes much of a visual difference and the 25 mm seems too much ..... I'm thinking 15 mm to fill the gap from the fenders - oem 16/17 wheels lowered with Bilstein (lower perch) with stock springs.

If you have/have not lowered your car or using larger than oem wheels, please state it in the post so people can appreciate the feedback.

H&R springs lowered my car 1.5" and installed 17x8 fronts with 18x10 rears, no gaps looks very aggressive

The NSX is the only exotic car that has the worst wheel offsets. I have used the wheel adaptors from H&R (25mm front and rear) and also the Backyard Special (20mm f&r). I still wasn't satisfied with the look at the rears and tried to search for a 30mm, but didn't find one. Eventually, I decided to go 17/18. I liked the wheel adaptors because the weight penalty is negligible and still maintains the stock set-up. I will never use anything below 20mm due to the lack of hub lip that causes wheel vibration and the hassle of putting longer studs. Those 2 brands were chosen for their quality. The 20mm rears from Backyard are still in my garage and you can borrow them if you want. Just take good care of it and pay for the shipping to you and back to me. Also, Andrie H. had H&R's the last time I saw him.

For OEM Wheel set up (16/17) the 25mm is almost a perfect fit. I have 25mm H&R Hubcentric adapters all the way around and the car stands as if the tires were super wide. Fills the fender gaps nicely, next step Eibach and konis.

Let me understand this ...... those of you using more than 15 mm adapters/spacers with lowered height (either with dampners and/or springs) or using 17/18 wheels you are NOT getting any rubbing of the tires on the fender

My set-up was OEM 16/17, H&R springs, OEM shocks, and 25mm H&R f/r adapters. There was a slight rubbing against the front driver's side fender liner when making a u-turn. This was mainly due to the H&R springs. The rears can handle 30mm without a problem.

I almost forgot, my front tires were 225/45/16. Toyo did not have the 225/40/16. This also contributed to the rubbing. The rears were 255/40/17.

Tire sizes, shocks, and springs? So people will know the complete set-up.

I have 225/45/ZR16 fronts and 265/40/ZR17 rears. There is a rubbing inside the front at full turn. Is this really a big problem? Will it be ok if I use 40 profile instead? Is this problem cause by having thicker or wider tire?

Gheba, is there a way you can show pics from (a) direct view of the rear wheel so we can see how the spacer sits on the rotor cap and how it looks; and (b) the rear from a lower angle?

I am just curious with "thin" oem size wheel/tires if pushing the wheel 40mm does not make it look hanging out there on two thin sticks ...... the side view at an angle looks great but ..........

You can see pictures of the H&R hub spacers here:
http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/exterior_performance_products/NSX/HR/spacers/default.asp

As mentioned, these devices bolt rigidly to the hub rather than being free floating like a normal spacer. They also solve the need for longer lug studs.

However, note this design is only available for the 25mm version. Several customers are using the 25mm on the track with these wheels with no problem. Andrie on this board seems to like them.

Thanks Chris. I have viewed your pics and was also wondering why it was not available on the 15mm as well.

I still have my doubts that a lowered car with 25mm will not rub the front fenders with heavy loading .....

And yes I know Andrie uses the 25mm but he also uses 17/18 wheels ...... and very few of us dare to drive like Andrie does ....

Because 15mm would not allow enough threads for durability.

Actually, he has used 16/17 quite a bit on the track with out problems... see picts here...
