South Beach Advice

Two weeks from now, I will be going to South Beach for the first time. Two of my friends will be joining me as well. Plane tickets are already purchased, now I must figure out the best hotel.

We are all 26-30yrs old and unmarried. I would like to stay close to the action but would prefer to avoid a loud & dumpy room. Preferably like to stay under 250 a night.

I have heard a few good things about the Cardozo at 1300 Ocean Drive. The problem is that I know very little about the area. I don't have any connections to leverage down there either.

Any helpful tips on nightlife and accomodations would be appreciated.

The Tides is my favorite on Ocean. Not sure if you can get it for $250 or less. Check it out though.
