Has anyone used this stuff yet? I am wondering if it can be used on the exterior a pillar trim.

for over the door for the roof/moulding seals.......?

wondering the same thing, mine are old and brittle, and letting water in at the roof join, letting it go behind all the other rubbers.... grrrrr

edit... ordered some, we'll see how it goes!

I just ordered these from SOS a week or two ago. Their reply was that their kit would be able to replace the seals as this picture.

Thanks. Yeah I think you have to modify it for the a and b pillar trim. Let us know how it works.

received my roll of rubber trim this week..... i'll let you know how i get on

Soooooo, did this work for anyone that bought it?

right then... i finally got a weekend where i wasn't building my Hotrod, AND the weather was nice....

the SOS window seal replacement...... did it work... yes, did it work as per instructions... no, would i recommend it... no!

now the rubber is designed to replace the rubber on the trim along the top of the door/bottom of the window... as it's made as a direct replacement for that specific rubber it does the trick, some decent double sided tape fixing it in place.

with modification it can be used elsewhere around the door... unfortunately not that simple!

the extrusion is a rubber lip onto a more plastic/stiffer bar, unfortunately the rubber lips is too short for anywhere else, so i could only use it the other way around, with the stiffer side being used as the flexible seal (which isn't really flexible enough) basically i ended up cutting off the rubber lip outside of the centre 'U' and supergluing this edge onto the trim that goes up the screen and over the door glass..... it looks neater than i had previous, but i'm still looking for other solutions....

at least with the old rubber trim off i have a sample to try and match/get made!
