Need some help from the community:

Got the SOS/Dali window fix it thingies to help cure the pop that I was getting from my passenger side window.
Using the "super easy" method ( http://daliracing.com/v666-5/info/article_read.cfm?articleID=508 ), I was able to get the top cable attached back on, but for the life of me, I can not get the lower cable back on (can not finish step 10). It seems like it is still 2-3mm short.
Been just using a regular set of pliers...should I look into cutting a groove in the multigrips? How hard to I need to pull the cable back on?

TIA!

The parts you bought do not fix the pop noise or slow to roll up issues. It merely replaces the nylon connector that couples the wire cables together with a metal part instead. Tons of literature on all these issues here. The Oem window regulators bind and pop when old. Please see Hugo window kit threads or she'll out the cash for. 500$ regulator. But the Dali racing fix it thingies will not resolve your issue it will only insure the coupler will not snap and your window falling in the down position.

Did you try having someone pull the window up a tad while you try to get the lower cable back on? Basically steps 9-10 if the Dali guide except someone is pulling the window up.

If I pull the window up a tad, it creates slack for the upper cable and moves the "thingy" up, making more of a distance for the lower cable. If I try to push the window down, it does not move much at all, at least not enough to place the lower cable into the "thingy".
I can only think that I may have jumped the wire off the pulley system cause a place where the wires bind and thus reducing slack - But, is that even possible?

I used these and moved the window up and down to create enough slack to install each cable end.
