Hey guys,
Thinking on putting together a sorcery wide body kit for my car, mosly for track use of course.
For those with the sorcery kit, I am very interested to know how you like it at the track ,were you able to feel the difference with the wider track/down force? Is it solid enough to be on the track every weekend? Besides the stone chips on a brand new paint (I don't mind) what would be the cons?

I only need to get to gym on the car so streetability is not a concern.

Thanks for your inputs ,

I think John@microsoft had his track car modified with a similar widebody kit.You should just go back and read many of his posts. He was a good typist(used all his fingers) and was knowledgable and logical in his aproach. He was also a hands on diyer.

I miss his posts :(

You can also PM Coz. He's using a heavily track driven FXMD WB kit.

Thanks John, that helped alot!

I am afraid to ask, but is he still around?
I am fairly new to this club and never hear of him...

Last I heard he sold the nsx and was getting into competitive shifter cart racing.

Shades of Doug Hayashi!!

Indeed.

John had a RouteKs Zero Force kit that was VERY expensive, but track tested. But I can't imagine what replacing a panel would cost him, if even possible.

The Sorcery kit has been done by quite a few so I'm sure that some guys on here could give you a good clue to trackability. Good luck, your car will certainly look bad ass.

Once you get passed all the work required to get the Sorcery to fit it would look nice. For track usage as i've driven wide bodies I honestly do not feel any difference in how it is planted, then again I did not drive it to limit. Of coarse you will have wider width tires and stance. I have not driven when my car was sorcery but a wider stance Veilside. If it were me I would stick to the OEM body and possibly run the downforce front fenders. The car was already made to handle why fix what isn't broken unless you plan to do what John had done previously or even Bill (COZ) FXMD etc. If you still decide to run wide an easy already shown kit would be the FX Kit.

=)

Also keep in mind that FXMD will be releasing a new track specific kit over a year from now. They say it will be very extreme and quite expensive but the aero will have been researched and proven. I have contacted them regarding this kit but it will likely render the car useless for the street. But if you are really doing this for track purposes ....

Their current setup is a heavily modified BRS kit and quite frankly, I can't understand how they are performing so well while using it.

As always, I really apreacciate your opinion guys.
I will try to slowly put a sorcery kit together, I am by no means a baller so it will be slowly .
I haven't even run R compound tires, so I'll have sometim before I max the car, but sorcery will be.

I hope he didn't get into karts to save money. I raced a 125cc TAG last year and spent a fortune to be competitive. I can take the NSX out to Porsche Owners Club Time Trial events for 1/3 the price which isn't racing, but still satisfying none the less.

your poor ribs:wink: I think he was a part of microsoft early on ie he had a healthy stock option:cool: But yes if there are groups that still hold time trials that at least gets some of the competative juices flowing.

Are you caging the car? every weekend on the track sounds like some risky business with no cage. All it will take is one person to spill fluid, another to spin right in front of you and a 90MPH head-on collision for all your racing to end (and hopefully not you to end).

I'd give it some real thought before you start investing heavily in a WB just to get more tire and handling.

No cage yet, it'll be hard to find someone to put a good set on the aluminum body. But thats another thread.

Yeah, I am putting some thought into it.
I haven't even max the car on street tires , nevermind Rcomps.

But it'll look sick!!! Lol .
I think FX's kit would be my choice if I decide it to go with a kit, seems to be a great fit.
