I was out for an afternoon drive through the countryside and once I got closer to the city, I ran into stop and go traffic, which wasn’t a big deal. I had been out driving for just a little over an hour. On my way home. I was going down a side road and I hit an elevation change in the road where old asphalt meets new asphalt. Right after hitting that bump , my ABS light came on in the dash. When I got home, I opened up the hood to find brake fluid everywhere underneath the hood and I found that the reservoir cap on the ABS fluid tank was loose. I tightened the cop and cleaned up as much as the mess as I could. The fluid level still looks OK. I’m not sure if this was just a freak thing or if there was problem in the ABS accumulator that it somehow built up enough pressure to blow the cap off the reservoir?
