Some surprises at Spa

My track day at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) on Monday had some good and bad surprises: warm and sunny (not the usual weather there), the 24h of Nurburgring JGTC NSX car was there, a black Porsche Carrera GT was really driven on the track, Vanina Ickx (see pic, daughter of belgian driver legend Jackie Ickx) was in my run group with one of the numerous Ferrari 360 challenge, one of my tire valves did go bad, my improvised front side flaps made me slower than last year (okay, no wind tunnel available) and a new set of slicks is already worn after one day or 340 km.

I will give you detailed information and pics on my site as soon as I have time to sort things out.

...and this is her car she can drive in the rain with about the same lap times I am capable to run in Spa with slicks on dry track - in fact she's about the best of all 360 challenge drivers on her hometrack.

The whole story is now available here
