1)ssr comp wheels are easy to make round after squaring off one side.oops any good wheel repair joint could do it. 2) If you have alot of half used brake pads laying around, and you decide to get new rotors, but instead of using new pads you try to use up old pads, you might warp those rotors in one day  3)if you are getting quick at the track and have heavy brake zones to contend with and you have already done the rear noncompliance beams ect.. try the front compliance pivot clamp as well.4)If you have done the front type r bracing and have aftermarket swaybars, take a look at the whole shebang while the car is on the ground ,they are most likely resting on each other, you may want to consider Al's or your own shimming solution to get them off each other.5)If you ever run in an open track format where point bys are optional, don't make any sudden moves from side to side,in traffic  .That's it for now, happy speeding

I have put half used pads on new rotors a couple times without problems. Why should that happen?

I have the impression that it is more difficult to "bed" new pads to new rotors - the pad material seems to apply irregularly for a while. What's your experience? Thanks,,,Bill

Who knows? How's that for scientific analysis? All I can say is that I have the brembo indy front calipers and if you look carefuly at my used pads you'll notice some crowning of the pad, meaning that half the pad is worn more than the other, which leads me to believe that one of the pistons is aplying more force or is not retracting as much as its companion.I should have stated in my original post that I have a hybrid bbk. I figure that the uneven pads were causing hotter foci on the rotor at the track(glen).

looks like someone's been havin some fun....

regarding this issue.. i had this setup for awhile.. on stock suspension they won't rub... the only time i experienced problems was when I lowered the car and put the tein's on....

just my .002 (yes there's an extra zero in there).

I was going to have fun today but a leaky head gasket put a cabash on that  On the upside I learned that you can still limp home with a useless piston (50 compression) by disconecting the spark and fuel delivery,Its almost a healthy vigor motor  The weather in our neck of the woods is amazing for track fun.It is no fun however watching your buddies play and you can't,and running home at 60mph with the cel going twinkle twinkle.

holy moly...

that's not cool....

I'm assuming this happened due to natural tear on the engine? Or do you have a wild story about bouncing off the revlimiter in 4th gear.. just prior to the bus stop? :)

the rev limmiter gets its' share,no this started on the drive up to meet the guys for dinner, and really got messy after my late night blasts down and up rt 14 to bed my new pads :frown:At least the car got me home no flatbed this time  Next season,,a trailer.
