I have already made several track days with the same settings on my NSX and it seems that there are some parameters I have to upgrade on my suspension settings.
I run slick tires (210/580/16 fr / 240/610/17 rr), stock sway bars, type-r chassis bars, tein flex with 10/12 springs.
Depending on the track, I set the dampers from full stiff (fast tracks) to 50% stiff front (slow tracks) / full soft rear. This way, I have a pretty equilibrate ride.
My camber settings are 2.2° fr / 3.0° rr.
Further, I want to go with bigger tires and try to get more grip (230 fr / 260-270 rr).
But, with the currents tires, I cannot get them worn at the outside. Meaning I have to much camber. I should get 2° front and rear (perhaps 2.5° with stickier/wider tires ?)
But, going with stiffer sway bars, will this mean that I will need less camber ?
For track guys that are sometimes using 3° camber front and rear + stiff sway bars, how can you get your tires evenly worn ?
Another question...
I don't have the feeling that the tein flex are stiff enough for a track use with slick tires (they seem rather ok for a street/track use with semi-slick tires).
Will an upgrade from flex with 10/12 springs to mono flex (with the 14/14 or 14/16 springs option) be sensible ?
What good and stiff coilovers would be best for a 100% track use without going with 3000$+ stuff ?
Thanks a lot for your help.
