OK has this happen to anyone else? When im driving around and come to a stop, the brake pedal goes soft. I was guessing the master is going out. I looked under the hood and the modulator cap was leaking, I got a new cap from Acura fixed the leak but pedal was still soft. Two weeks later I look under the hood again and the cap is leaking again. Another thing is when I hit the brakes hard the work fine holds pressure. If I hit them hard enough for the abs to work the work fine but then the modulator motor starts winding loud. Deal wants a shit load, anyone have any ideas?

Yes it's time for a new master cylinder. Over flowing ALB is also common, the valves are sticking which can sometimes be fixed by flushing the system. The wining sound it the ALB presure pump running to recharge the system and is normal.
Thanks... But why does the ALB over flow? My reservoir ran empty twice and I had to refill it. How much is the master? Friend of mine that works in a shop said he can get it for about $250 (which I pay shop price :biggrin: ) but dealer coast is $500.

The brake master cylinder is made by Nissin (not to be confused with Nissan). You do not need the Honda/Acura part, they are one and the same. Any good brake supply house should have it....I bought one a while back $150?

I needed to have my master cyinder replaced last year as well. It was rec'd that the slave cylinder be replaced also, given that both may be prone to leaking as these cars get older.
