Ok, Well... I took a gamble on this one.
I bought this from SOS:

I was then going to follow up with however it does not come with the support bracket and sourced it locally but looks like they have updated the kit to include this.
Anyway...
I got my trusty dremel out and i cut the white catch on the stay rod at the point it starts to bend, removed the remaining white plastic and fitted a silicone plug which is used for blanking off pipes.
Fairly easy really.
It's not ideal as you can see i just slot it in the ridge, it's high enough to work on, easy to use and beats using a cardboard tube!!
