So I went and got a new toy...

Beautiful NSX, so you removed the wing eh? ;)

Sorry couldn't resist with all of the 'Is that a corvette' comments
Enjoy your new car!

Yeah, you can't fool us, even if you do post it under the NSX Picture Gallery forum! :p

I hope you enjoy the car.

You sold your NSX for that?

I am just messing with you. The z06 will destroy any stock NSX and some SC nsx's without much trouble. Too bad the inside looks like a cavalier.:D

Nice ride!

I've owned a couple Corvettes. I had a black 2000 convertible, and I just sold my '69 Stingray a couple weeks ago so that I could fund the purchase of an NSX.

Enjoy Vette ownership. The C5 gives up a little to the X in terms of reliability, refinement, build quality and fit/finish, but you're going to LOVE the 405 horses in that bad boy!

Cheers.

Nice ride, It's kinda like a viper with a few manners!!! enjoy and stay in touch ...:D

Yep, this is what I sold the nsx for. Don't get me wrong, the NSX was a great car. I miss the build quality and overall feel of being in an NSX. Driving the vette makes me feel like I'm in a rental. Haha. A very very fast rental... The NSX just wasn't everything I was looking for esp in the raw power/aftermarket department. Anyway, I had a few different options on what I was going to get, and the z06 was the one took home. Awesome performance, cheap aftermarket parts and easy to work on. I figure I'm still 22, and I should enjoy as many sports cars as can before the big M and K words. haha.

Damn, what the h*ll did I do wrong during my youth? To be able to afford a house (in the bay area, no less!) and a spiffy new sports car at 22...

Nice. 2004?

The Z06 provides tremendous bang-for-the-buck. It will depreciate quicker than just about any other car on the road, though. 2003 Z06s are sitting with <5K miles on lots for $32-$33K right nwo. With the C6 right around the corner, look for that value to keep falling.

The critical mods for the Z06 right at the start are a short-throw shifter (OEM is like rowing a boat) ~~ Hurst and B&M are excellent ~~ and lower the car on the stock lowering bolts (lowers about 1.5" total). Common mods include 18/19" wheels (HRE, Ronal, and Z06 Motorsport Rims are popular), as well as Baer Eradispeed rotors.

Enjoy:cool:

I gradatued couple years ago, got a good paying job, and I am fortunate enough that I can still live with my parents for free! :D

I know,I know... living the parents sucks at times, but housing is outrageous and that leaves me with more money to spend on cool toys. :)

Well, that is one way to be able to purchase nice toys. I have to admit the Z06 is the 'vette to buy. I still like them but my wife has never warmed to them. Oh well, just had to buy the NSX, which she loves. Good luck with the 'vette.

Just saw an ad here last week for a new ZO6.....there selling them for 40k now. I guess its a good bang for the buck compared to some other cars.

if you don't mind me asking, how much was your NSX worth to the dealer ? what year was it again ? mileage ?

Nice ride btw.

Its a 1991 w/ 33k miles at the time. Dealer would pay anymore than $26k. I let the car go for $34k with the set of 18/19 work wheels.

If you like drag racing I guess, but take it around a track or even an autocross...I wonder how bad it would "destroy" an X?:D

To each his own, but what turns me off about the Vette is that I see about 3-4 a day here in So Cal....I might see 1 NSX a month if I'm lucky...Thats what makes the NSX soooo much cooler then any Vette, the head turning rarity of them..

The Z06 will whoop on a stock NSX pretty easily on both track and autocross. (with equal drivers) It is a lot of car for the money.

I agree about seeing 100 vettes a day though. That is a big turn off.

Just drop that 5.7L V8 with 405HP in the NSX and you will have one HELL of a machine :)
