Since the event is comming up less than a month...how about a caravan located somewhere off the 10 fwy?

-Would be very nice to cruise into the event all together instead of being seperated, mixed in with other cars.

just an idea.......please delete if you are not interested.

I can totally imagine that it'll be a sight to behold with an endless line of NSXs rolling into the track.

Since Cali. Raceway is right at where 10 and 15 cross, it doesn't make sense for the OC/SD group to travel to 10 west to meet up with the LA group. I'm sure you'll have a big enough group heading out from the LA area on 10.

I'm sure the SD group would prefer to stay on 15 all the way from SD. What we can do is to find a stopping point for the SD and OC group to meet right around where 15 and 91 meet. That'll give the SD boys and girls a chance to take a bathroom stop. Anyone have a Starbucks or something that you can recommend as a stopping point around 15 and 91?

For the LA group, I'd imagine a place around 10 off 57 or 605 will be ideal.

What we have done before for the OC/SD group is that we predetermined a route and we'd pick up stragglers on our way without stopping. All we need is an approximate time we roll through your FWY entrance and either a cell phone # or via the club radio to inform you before the caravan is rolling through. It worked well for us.

Steve, what time are we suppose to be there?

The closest Starbucks is just North of the 91 and I15 interchange. Not too far off the freeway. Exit Hidden Valley Pkwy turn left go to Hamner Ave. and turn right go up the street about 200-300 ft. it's on the left. Reverse to get back to the I15.
Here's the address:
Starbucks
1030 Hamner Ave
Norco, CA
Phone: (951) 736-8740

That location seems ideal!!....I know people don't want to stray away too far, but this event is the first of its kind!, so I would want to blow it up with nsx's!! from beginning to end....see if we can get any more input.

Thanks, Mark

What time should we meet?

I think we should be at 8:00-8:30...since gates open at 9:00 a.m.

We should leave the location at 8:45 Sharp!...there will be a line for sure to exit the freeway...Please people to me this sounds like a good idea, let me know if everybody wants in, so i can get a list started.

Thanks, Mark

The gates open at 9:00, but there is nothing in the schedule before 11:00. So there is no need to be there at precisely 9:00.
Are the club spots pre-assigned or are they 1st come 1st served? If the later, wouldn't it be better to arrive earlier? With 87 cars we would need to block off a large area - yes?

If we want to make a grand entrance then maybe w should meet in the Ontario Mills parking lot as a staging area. This way all the cars will be ready to roll into CA Speedway at one time. Just an idea.

Ontario mills mall seems find with me!!! I wasn't too familiar with the area...I still think we should get there early tho, since we do have the biggest groupe ....I don't want to seem bossy but I think this should be final.

Final Meeting location.

Ontario Mills Mall: location on which side will be posted
Time 8:00-8:30 A.M Group will leave at 8:45 a.m Sharp.

Please spread the word!!! Now wanna get a list going of whos comming?

For those not familiar with the area, the mall is located at the intersection of the 10 and the 15, and is accessible from either highway. Think of it as the "northwest corner" of the interchange.

This aerial photo shows the mall on the left and the track at the upper right. (Incidentally, can anyone tell me what this structure in between the two is?)

Further details will come on hand shortly. The exits you would need to take off the 10 and the 15fwy's. We will decide where to meet in the mall...a place that has food and restrooms for our fellow members that drove a long distance.

Please spread the word!!!! so even out of staters, can join the caravan, with a nsx or without one!.

Thanks, Mark

To answer ss_md's question, Yes there will be an assigned NSXCA parking area and it will be sized to fit all the cars that are signed up. I am still waiting for the instructions from the event organizers on the proceedures to get us all in. As this is going to be a BIG event I think that IF we want to all get together and arrive as one LARGE group I think this will require everyone to gather at Ontario Mills VERY EARLY (like 5:00  ) so we can get in line with the other thousands of people who will be going to this event. If you want to get together thats OK but I plan to just go directly to the track and get in line (VERY EARLY) so I can hopefully be the first person there and help organize everone as they arrive. I think it sounds like a cool idea to have everyone arrive at once but I am afraid it will be very difficult to get 90+ NSXs from Ontario Mills to the JGTC Parking area together.

Don't want to sound like a wet blanket (I guess I do  ) but the logistics of getting that many cars together and over to the event is out of my league unless someone wants to arrange a CHP escort (a la NSXPO '03  )

I know time is getting short and there are few details, but I will give them out as soon as I get them from the event organizers.

A CHP escort?!?! how is that possible?...I would like everybody to meet early but 5:00a.m sounds really crazy, but hey...can't be over prepared.

Lets get more people to chime in!!....the event is closer than you think.

Nsxtacy, regard your question about what was between the two locations, I'd guess it's a regional sewer plant, the circular devices look like filter beds. Look forward to seeing you again at JGTC.

The last couple times they had races at Calif. Speedway, they close off Cherry off ramp and divert traffic thru other exits.

I think the best way to keep a big group is to meet at Walmart off Foothill and I-15. It is just east of the FWY, than take Foothill to Cherry and turn right to the track. It is a short drive (very short), but is would be fairly easy to keep the group together.

If the schedule has nothing going on till 11am, howcome the whole pack is arriving at 9? we will be sitiing around for a couple hours until anything happens???

anyone up for a later arrival??

I'm guessing that it would be to allow enough time to get in the gate and organized. Considering that there will be 100 NSXs, I'm sure that other clubs will have a decent (although maybe not as big) showing too. Then there's general admission.

I'd rather be there early to get a chance to see all the NSX's and chat before the event starts. The event looks like it's jam packed with things to do so it will be nice to have a bit of "free time" to mingle in the morning.

Ontario Mills mall it is. Anyone have an exact address? (for all those GPS drivers...)
