I was in Grand Cayman a few days ago doing a typical tourist snorkel thingy, and it didn't exactly end up being all that typical. Guides told us about a Moray eel, but that he wouldn't bother us during the day. We all saw him in his hole, and he didn't bother anyone. But, later on I saw him near the boat and popped the Canon power shot into video mode and caught some footage of the eel trying to take a hunk out of a guy's leg. The dude kicked the thing as hard as he could when it came near him, and that probably only pissed it off more (but what's a fella to think when a 5 foot eel is about to swim up near some important body parts!).
