I have noticed a small gap on one of my side skirts between the upper part of the skirt and the rear quarter panel. It is about 1/8 of an inch and it is right below the air scoop.

Is it just a clip that I need to replaced? Looks like I have to remove the whole skirt to replace the clip. How difficult is it?

Thanks,

Is there any freeplay there where the side skirt and rear fender meet? Have you had anything taken off recently in that area? Got any pics?

Yeah, I can pull it up to close the gap. I have not done anything there, but I sat on it while I was working on the door speaker. Frankly, I don't know how and when it occurred, but I just noticed it recently

I hope it is just the clip inside, but not sure if it is a big job replacing it.

Thanks.

Please note my comments on the diagram below. Hope it helps.

thanks for the diagram. #2 and #4 are fine. I think it is the side clip. does it bent or breaK easily?

Is it easy to replace the clips? an hour or two?

You can take off the side skirt in less than an hour. However, to access screws 3/4, you might have to use a small screw driver about 3" long. You should be able to turn the front tire to get access to screw 3, but screw 4 might be difficult to access depending on your setup i.e. suspension, wheel/tire size. Same applies to screw 2 for using a 3" long screwdriver.

Trying to remember here, but I think it was easy just to jack up that side and remove both wheels

Once you get the side skirt off, I'd look to see if the side clips are bent or broken.
