SL55 as a track car?

I was reading Top Gear and they were testing some supercars, Zonda, 575, Murci, 996TT, SL55, and I think the Vanquish. On the track the SL55 beat the 575 and came close to the Murci, while the Zonda beat everything easily. They also said the brakes held up nicely. Not the most elegant way around a track, but I guess brute force does win sometimes.

There is an SL55 coupe that frequents Willow Springs and I thought it odd at first being so heavy, but brute force and adaquate handling must make up for it..
