I haven't made a build/progression thread yet because I haven't been able to find the "perfect" NSX for me, until now. Today I picked up a 2002 Imola Orange Pearl NSX-T from Santa Cruz. I picked her up from a member here on the boards and I must say the transaction went as smooth as silk and I must commend Brent for being a straightup, honest & trustworthy member!
My friend flexthatdx just unloaded her from the trailer a few hours ago and I'm still in shock of actually owning a 1/49 example! This was also my first time seeing IOP in person and it is everything everybody has said it was going to be.
Current mods as delivered:
- H&R 25mm Spacers
- Window Tint
- Comptech Exhaust
- KWv3 suspension
- Honda S2000 CR Shift Knob
- NSX-R Shift Boot / Plate
- Zanardi Shift Stalk + SOS Short Shifter Kit
And here are some photos from today:
About 400 miles from SoCal to Santa Cruz!
When I first laid eyes on her as we pulled up to Brent's house:
Taken after flexthatdx helped me load her onto the trailer. Actually, I helped him as he was doing most of the work. We let the ramp out on the highest point of Brent's driveway and was able to back the car up with no issues whatsoever. Now it's a bit tricky to open the doors and get in and out because of the fenders on the trailer. We removed the Targa top and flexthatdx's crazy ninja skills to get in and out of the car. Next time I think we can just remove the fenders as there are a few accessible bolts that hold it together.
On the road with flexthatdx driving the first leg home while I'm snapping pictures/drooling in the back.
I brought my DSLR but was too distracted by the IOP that I forgot to take many photos with it, I did however manage this single shot as we were buying some fireworks in Bakersfield.
Finally back at home after 17 hours from start to finish parked next to my red 05 (sold and pending delivery). Also parked next to my workhorse Nissan Versace. Notice in the shade, the orange looks really dull and reminds me of poop.
Quick shot of the interior using my iPhone. I have to commend the previous owner for keeping the interior immaculate.
Guess who stopped by for a sneak peek? (excuse the mess in the garage, in the process of remodeling)
After 5 minutes, nsxnemo starts pointing out some defects.
That's it for now, more pictures and updates soon!
