Last year my driver's window wouldn't go up without help, so I decided before this year got into full swing I should fix that, and so the process began.
I got the window fix regulator kit from Hugabuga that converts the solid cable slider to a roller, and the rubber slider pads to hard plastic. Awesome kit. The install of the kit required a bit of work but overall pretty straight forward.
The problem is the slider rails the window moves on are full of 20 year old grease that's hardened and is sticking a few times in the window's travel. I need to pull the sliders and clean them (per LarryB's instructions) and then attempt to re-allign them. I'll dig into that this weekend.
NOTE: If you are taking out your regulators, the suggestion is to tape the window in the up position to keep it from falling into the door - well my deluxe super grippy packing tape FAILED and dropped my drivers window! Luckily it didn't shatter, so I learned you put tape AND a clamp to secure them, and they stay up just fine.
So since things were apart, I sent the factory speaker amps off to BrianK for rebuild since they've been nothing but pops and static for a couple years - not that I listen to the stereo that often, since the motor sounds so good, but why not fix them?
Then I looked at my poor chipped up side mirrors, and thought - why not give them the NSX-R treatment and shoot them in black? They turned out great, and I really like the look.
My plastic vapor barriers were torn up from a couple dealer attempts at fixing the windows, so I need new ones. I took them off, scraped off the factory white sealer/adhesive which was hard as a rock, and will put a more pliable silicon based product on when they go back.
My big garage is mess, and the pics are bit crappy, but here's a few:
