Just gauging interest in having an informal meet to tour this outstanding museum as a group: http://www.simeonefoundation.org/

I visited here about 2 years ago with an S2000 group, and was quite impressed with Dr. Simeone's collection.

Here is my proposal:

Meet at the Museum, Saturday, July 16 at opening time (10:00 AM). Spend about 2 hours touring, and caravan as a group to a Philly classic, Tony Luke's, for lunch: http://www.originaltonylukes.com/

There should be adequate parking for all of us there, and it will be a nice way to spend a couple hours on a summer Saturday, plus allow a meet-and-greet for Philly area NSX owners.

Please post here with your interest, or with an alternate day, if you wish.

Thanks!

Hi Gene,
That's great that you're trying to set up a run and I like the idea of driving around and ending up at the Simeone Museum. You might not be hearing from some of us who would typically want to join in because the Simeone Foundation Museum is on the schedule for NSXPO 2011 which takes place September 22-27.

We hope you'll choose to join us for NSXPO2011 (check out NSXPO2011.com) since it will be local this year. If you are not familar with NSXPO take a look at last year's pictures from Vegas. We're working on creating an even better event this year!

I'm always up for a drive and if you want to go somewhere else (?), I'd be up for it as might some others from the Bucks County and Central New Jersey area.

Pooh

Think about joining us for the Michelle Offsie Memorial Walk. There usually will be a good group of us there and plenty of time to look at each other's cars while be fed breakfast, snacks and lunch. And a little 2 mile walk too!

Karla,

I was not aware of the plans to visit the Simeone Museum during NSXPO2011, so I withdraw this proposal, seeing as how no one else has bothered to respond. :frown: You may not be aware, but I was at NSXPO2010 (in fact, I drove there - 6041 miles round-trip), and I spoke to your +1 Don in the casino at South Point.
(I also was in your drive group for last year's River Run, and at that time, I had only had my NSX for 2 weeks). I also entered the Cool Cars for Cats & Canines meet in Hershey back in April, along with passline and docjohn, among others. As you can see, I am not averse to driving any distance to get-together with other NSX owners, since there are maybe 5 here in the whole state of Delaware. I also have been known to drive (several times) over 400 miles to join in an S2000 meet.

I do plan to attend NSXPO2011, but I just wanted to see if there was any interest in a meet-and-greet in the local area in addition to the River Run and before NSXPO. Even though I live in Delaware and am not a part of the NY-NJ-PA "in-crowd," I was just trying to drum up a little interest in a local get-together. :frown:

Hey Gene, I'll go over to the museum with you when we are at Expo. Maybe Carla would give that to me as an assignment to take everyone over there?
Take care Buddy.

Gene, you are part of the "in crowd", by choosing to participate, you're automatically included!!!

should be an excellent addition to the xpo schedule, and Gene ....great minds think alike!!!! Gene are you thinking of making the trek to watkins Glen for Kids Day?

BTW, this does "cement" your inclusion in the "in crowd". There are members that drive up from Florida for this event, it is truly the most fun you can have, while doing good for Kids. What can be better than that!!!

Hey Gene,
I'm so horrible with connecting prime names to people I know! Sorry about that! No offense meant at all

Gene you and Rich can be our lead folks for taking people down to the Simeone Museum. Now I'm recuriting you too!

If you can think of another spot to go (?) we're going to be around on the 19th. Wouldn't mind taking the car out then. It is Father's Day which isn't typically an issue for us. Not sure about others though.

Pooh, the forgetful
