Instead of replacing the sill plate, maybe you could have it restored. You could find someone who straightens trim on classic cars that would be able to fix the dent and scratches with no problem. The wheel opening mouldings on my 68 Coronet (RIP) needed straightning and I was quoted a dollar an inch. I've seen it go from a mangled piece of aluminum to showroom condition.
