Just bought some silicon spray from Gunks. Will it harm the paint or rubber/plastic?
Is it true that it is better and last longer than wd-40?

WD40 is a solvent and silicon spray is a lubricant. I'm not sure how you can compare them.Is it true that it is better and last longer than wd-40?
I use it as lube when my antenna starts to stick because it won't attract as much dust as an oil or grease.
Extend antenna. Wipe clean. Don't risk getting any on the paint, spray it in your hand and rub it on a few times(I use a technique perfected in my youth:redface: ).
You now have a happy antenna.
My antenna has not been so happy. I have one section that doesnt want to extend. I can pull it out by force but it sticks pretty good. I tried wiping it down a few times with alcohol and wd40 and then fully retracting it and force extending it but that one section still sticks when i turn the radio on. Any other suggestions?
Are you using it for your window regulator/tracks? I'm going to be lubing mine in the next day or two and silicon spray would be easier to deal with than lithium grease.
