FuryNSX: I should have mentioned he was with 3 other NSXs, one red, I believe another black one, and a fourth I don't remember the color. The car was pretty stock looking, as far as body and wheels. The guy that raced me will know who he is when he sees this post. For more details, he had a lady and a small dog in the car, and there was a white 3000GT in there trying to keep up too.
surferX: I wouldn't say I got smoked by any means.
I'm driving a 290+ hp awd wagon. I was suttle in my words because I don't usually condone street racing, and most forums don't either. Now if you want an accurate account of what happened, hopefully the other guy will find this and post.
I had several runs from behind him from a stop in which I could kiss his bumper in 1st gear and hang on through 2nd to about 65mph. He started to pull away then, and had about 5 car lengths by 100mph. I had only one run side by side at a red light. With a so-so launch I pulled about a half a fender on him, and then missed second. It really sucked because I would've like to see how long I could hold him off, although I figured I'd lose again in the long run.
The whole reason I came here is to find out about the guys car. I haven't been to the dyno in a while, or to the track and have done a few mods since then. I was curious if the NSX was stock or what not. I'm assuming it was fairly close to stock, or I'm sure I would've got stomped big time.
Peace.
