Side Air Intakes Loose - Rattles - Help Reg'd!

My two side intakes are both loose, lets say 1/16" all around and rattle. The black louvers in the intake are fine.
Please suggest why this might have happened and how best to fix the problem.
How do you take off those black plastic fasteners without distroying them?

Use a blunt screw driver to press in the center. This will release the snap. They are probably 12+ years old, so expect to replace some as they may be brittle. There are two nuts per vent that sound like they need to be tightened. You'll need to be a contortionist with small hands to reach them well.
