Professor Sid Watkins passed away today. For those who are admirers & followers of Ayrton Senna know all too well this gentleman, his diligence towards F1 driver safety, and his general involvement & contribution to the sport of motoring.

There was a true hero to F1. Luckily he had very little to do at the tracks in his latter years, in no small part thanks to his efforts.

He was a good man. It alway's pains me to read the description of Imola 94 when he and Senna were talking about the darkness, and (knowing the outcome) wishing Senna and he would have walked away.

The sport is better off because of him, and those like him.
