I have been reading about the short gear upgrade for my 5 speed. I was noticing though that the only advantage comes from 2 and 3 gear, right? The other gears seem to be longer or the same as stock.No, fourth is shorter also. The gear ratio of the short fourth gear (1.033) is higher than stock (0.967) so it is shorter.The short gears widen the gap between fourth and fifth. If you only get the parts to replace second and third, you will be widening the gap between third and fourth - not as desirable as the 4/5 gap.If you get the short gears, you should get all the parts listed in the FAQ.
