Long story short ~ her current hybrid has nearly 140k miles and she wanted to pick up a Tesla ModelX mainly for the carpool reason. We were not really planning to buy another car till after 2018 New Year but it seems the deals are saying NOW is the time to buy.

Anyways, she's driven the new NSX quite a few times and loves the car. In comparison she hates driving our Huracan for any number of reasons.

Our family has a special connection to the NSX dating back to our wedding as we got married in our 04 GPW NSX (will always be in our family) :)

So if you guys can point us to a Casino white, 2nd choice Blue NSX with carbon roof, that would be appreciated. Been shopping around at a leisure pace so haven't really hit the phones or online shopping yet. But if you guys see one let us know and we may pick one up for the boss lady.

thanks!

If you wanna stay local, Elk Grove Acura has a blue one that has been sitting for a while. Maybe they would deal one it. Not sure on carbon roof (which I agree is a necessity!)

Elk Groves blue car/ebony has Carbon brakes with blk calipers, $9900, els audio 3300, cf int pkg 2900, semi aniline power seats 2500, blk alcantara headliner 1300. $183,700 sticker

The one I PM'd you has everything you want is blue $204k sticker and dealer is willing to deal. Should be able to get between $50k to $55k.

^Still searching, I found a silver, I'm anxious for you guys to get one and start developing some aftermarket products

mcgrath in Chicago had a good one ....it was a pretty loaded casino but really wasnt willing to deal much on price

I have seen the white one at McGrath when in for service, very nice spec.

I am not surprised that they are not the low price leader. They got like $65K over sticker for their first one (went to a pilot in CA).

They treat me great for service though.

I wouldn't get your hopes up, how often is his wife going to let him borrow *her* car to develop parts for it... making her drive around with the dash all taken apart doesn't seem like a formula for marital harmony

LOL - good point!

Actually we already have a black 2017 (buddies car) we've been using to build parts. We have the steering wheel, door trims and will soon have CF door sills and a custom rear bulkhead subwoofer for the car. Don't want to go off topic here but check out vendor threads.

So far no luck - every dealer we've contacted has various "stories" to tell on us on why they can't do a certain deal.....quite frustrating.

Anyways this is what we are looking for so if anyone has a lead, that would be appreciated:

MUST HAVE:

Casino White
Full black interior
Carbon Roof

Nice to have:

Stock base wheels
Ceramic brakes in black
Carbon Exterior package
Carbon Door sills
ELS upgraded stereo
Carbon trunk spoiler

Figured we'd update this thread ~ haven't found the right car up to this point.

Dealer's in general don't want to deal on their inventory so we may just sit this out till 2019 to order a TypeR since we have talked to a few dealers willing to sell one to us. With 2018 here already, we are not going to pay top dollar for a 2017 car especially with options we don't want.

Saw a $163k car (steel brakes) and dealer would only offer the $30k Acura incentive, doesn't seem like such a great deal considering the heavier optioned cars are going for more discount. Ideally we really would like to have the Carbon Roof and trunk spoiler on Casino white and the interior must be all black.

In the meantime we have our black development car so it's ok and will read about all the great cars you guys pick up :)

happy new year!

I assumed you talked to the dealer just north here in the bay...Yup, I inquired about their car a month back and they wanted MSRP on it. Looks like they want to hang on to their car for a bit or wait until some rich Silicon Valley techie picks it up with no discount needed.

I met the owner of Delray Acura last night. They have a casino White/Red Alcantara not many options. He said he can give the full 30k off. Car is serial number 1499.

No the car is on the east coast - has the steel brake rotors and only a few minor options which we don't really care for bringing the sticker to $163k.

DocL: thanks buddy we really are trying to get one with full black interior since we plan to do a lot of interior upgrades including custom Recaro buckets. We are looking for a discounted car off MSRP + the $30k incentive so between $45k-60k off depending on how high the MSRP is.
