Cool....I can't beleive I found an NSX specialist 5 minutes away:D Pretty cool to find a shop with nuttin but X's in it!!!
I was so impressed by Nick(Applied Motorsports) and his knowlege of the X, I had him do 60K service, timimg belt/waterpump and window regulator install, plus he did a complete once over on the entire car...I spent just over 2K on parts and labor, but saved at least 1K from what the dealer would've charged...And now my baby will be in tip top shape when I get her back on Monday!!!

I would suggest anyone within driving distance take their NSX to Nick if you ever need anything done....

Thanx rogerm for the suggestion.:D

Nice to hear.

San Diego NSX owners finally have a stable place with a knowledgeable tech to take their cars. Nick has been working on my car several years now with Mark Basch and I'm glad he's settled down in the local area.

But man, couldn't he have set up shop a little further south. It takes almost 45 minutes to get there from my place in Scripps Ranch! :D

Randy, at least you still have a place in Scripps Ranch:eek:
I was over in Maui when all the fires were cooking hear in So Cal and remembering hearing about Scripps Ranch getting hit hard on the news in Hawaii...Glad to hear you're OK....

BTW, Nick picked the perfect location for his shop:D

Hey Mark,

I saw your car at Nick's shop today! Yeah Nick is one awesome guy! He came into the shop today Sunday, on his day off, just so he could accomodate my schedule for an alignment! I took my car to two different places including Ball Acura in National City, which by the way, I DO NOT recommend anyone going. I should've know better. Anyway, after Nick's care, my car is properly aligned and it drives like a new car. Of course, the 90K service also helped! He's got the best prices in town too! Yeah Randy, too bad it's located so far away. I had to drive an hour to get there. But well worth it.

rogerm, how much are they charging you for the 90K service? Anybody know anyshops in L.A. that charge less than $6K for the 90K service? Thanks!

Spinner!

You NEED to go to Nick for your 90K service, no questions about it!!!! He specializes in our car, and has worked with the famous Mark Basch in Arizona for a few years. Believe me the guy knows his NSX's. He owns one himself. I paid 2500 bucks (parts and labor) for my 90K service, but that's including more than just your typical 90K. I had two CV boots replaced, had ALL my coolant hoses replaced (22 new hoses), my brake calipers painted, oil pan gasket replaced, cam plugs replaced, VTEC O-rings replaced, spool valve gaskets replaced, all fluids replaced. I bought a majority of my parts from Dali Racing. I know Nick can get you parts for similar prices as Dali Racing. My car runs like a new car now even with 93K miles. If all you need is the 90K service, I'll bet your price is gonna be a lot lower than 2500 dollars. You definitely need to call him. Tell him I sent you!!!!! I know he's a little far from you, from me too, but it's worth the drive.

Thanks for the info RogerM! I don't have an NSX yet, but am looking at one that will be needing the 90K done...and San Diego is not far at all (for the NSX, atleast), so I won't mind the drive. If I get one, I'll def. give him a call and I'll PM you as well. I'm very picky about who works on my cars...I used to have a '93 TwinTurbo Rx-7 and would drive it about 50 miles (after waiting about a month for an open spot) to a rotary specialist to have work done on it. Once again, thanks for the info! appreciate it.;)

another satisfied customer chiming in here.... I went to Nick's shop for an 80k mile tune-up and fluid changes. He went out of his way to explain what I needed to look at on my NSX and generally did an excellent job taking care of my car.

Definitely go to Applied Motorsport and not a stealership... we are supporting a fellow NSX enthusiast and someone who clearly runs a first-rate shop.......

I was talking to Nick today about having a Grand Opening for his shop sometime in the coming weeks and have a BBQ and Palomar run afterwards...He would love to do it, so get you X's ready, washed and out of the shop in time for the party...Probably Sunday Dec. 7th will be the day to do it....

I'll post more about it soon.....

Thanx again for the recomendation Roger.
