hello, i am trying to get some factory seats shipped to me from atlanta (to connecticut) the sender is having difficulty finding boxes (i think he'll have to fabricate something out of a couple of boxes) and a shipping company that will pick up at a residence.

i am sure others have had this done before, can anyone offer any assitance? thanks a bunch!

I would go to the nearest appliance store and see what you can find. They seem about the size of a dishwasher!!

I would strap them to a pallet and build a box around the top of them. Due to their size it will probably be cheaper to ship with a common carrier anyhow.

I shipped some car seats (not NSX seats) a little while back using FEDEX ground. I wrapped them in bubble wrap and then used boxes to form a cardboard "box" around it. I took it to a kinkos that did Fedex ground shipping though, so I don't know about the pick up at the door thing.

Why not have them taken to a pack/ship store.
They are just about in every city under different company names/franchises and most have a great deal of experience in packing the unusual. It's not as cheap as doing it yourself but when I use them the product gets delivered/arrives in perfect shape.

Try Crescent for freight shipping. I had a whole regulation Blackjack table shipped from a casino to my house for $120! That thing must be at least 300-500 lbs!
