My V1 I have on the left of my dash. I used the remote display for a bit, but didn't like having to look down to see what's going on, so now I have hard-wired the V1 itself on that side of the dash...so that wasn't an issue for me.The shift boot doesn't really stau up from what I've seen, although I haven't attempted to hook it up or make it stay. I'm getting the short shift conversion done, so I wasn't too worried. If you wanted it to stay up, I'm sure you could tighten the plastic ziptie thats inside the boot. So on mine, yes, the post always shows. For now. Hmm, the shifter really looks polished to me. I'll try to get a better pic of it tonight, I'll take it inside and turn the flash off. It doesn't look titanium in my eyes... And I'll get a pic of the threads.SR
