shift knob and boot change

i am gonna buy from prime member a newer oem knob, and shift boot, does anyone know what is involved on changing both or have a link to show how the knob and boot is changed and is it dificult. i think the knob is relatively easy but have concerns about the boot, i think changing both would look like a matched pair instead of just new knob. thanks looking forward to spring to start driving car again, these below zero temps in new york killing me

To replace the boot, you need to remove the console cover

The boot is held on by 3 screws.

I just replaced the vinyl part of my shift boot with real leather...I'll be posting a DIY soon.

What year are you changing from and to. There may not be much difference in the shift boot. I changed mine from the old style to the 2004-2005 type and used my original boot.

Wow, that's alot of work. I am so glad i decided to reuse my original boot :smile: . Which part of the boot is vinyl, Drew?

Wow, that's alot of work. I am so glad i decided to reuse my original boot...

It's a very easy DIY and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to get the console off, boot changed, and console reinstalled.
