Shift into 5th gear at dead start? After fluid change

I just changed my tranny fluid with Acura mtf white top 3qt. Can your car shift into fifth gear without starting the car? I can shift 1-4, 6 and reverse on dead start. When the car is running and driving I can shift into any gears without grinding. Any of you guys have this issue or should I be concern? Thanks

When the shafts in the trans are not moving, it is not uncommon that getting into any particular gear is tough. When you try this again, make sure the clutch is NOT depressed, engine running, then immediately after you push the pedal in, try 5th. It should go in. It probably is that the 5th gear syncro is stationary and lined up so it will not let it engage. Not uncommon.
