Leads attach to battery terminals and probe actually heats brake fluid until it boils, then displays the temperature. Can be used in reservoir in the car or in supplied container to check new fluid. Purchased from Mark Basch many moons ago. Sold track rat so don't use. Plus PayPal and shipping
