Service mat

Dali Racing.

Or Just get a couple to rubber tool mats used to lining the bottom of tool drawers from Harbor Freight.

Or go to walmart and buy a rubber workout mat.

They work just as well. Buy a spray can and stencil in NSX if you like.

I paid $141.42 for mine last year (# 07MAZ-SL0000A) via www.magauto.com.

I bought it when I did my timing belt. Reason: the Acura version is very thick and very heavy. It doesn't move when in place, and leaving lots of tools and parts on it won't ding or scratch the car.

If you are simply doing oil changes and other light weight stuff, something lighter weight should work fine. But, if I had to do it all over again, I still wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Those mats had a major price increase.
Look for a used one but in a hurry I guess order from one of the key guys.
I think they are near 240 or so now.
I got mine from Sos.
I saw lots of old prices still on the net but when I called, they had none and had to phone Acura for the new prices and they where so surprized.

Yeah.. I rather have the original piece..it just looks a lot cleaner and fits perfectly. I notice that the prices went up pretty high and wanted to see if there were any good deals out there still or hopefully a used one will eventually pop up. I will be doing a valve adjustment and clutch job and my own custom turbo setup job in the future so I will need it. Thanks to everyone for there help!

Buy the Mat, Sit your son on the mat, let him watch you work on the car and spend quality time together!

I guess I'm too cheap to spend that much money for just a service mat.

I rather buy a nice toy for my son and see a smile on his face.

If I had a son.. I would go your route also.... Can't wait to go back home to San Diego for thanksgiving..

Sorry, as a proud dad I couldn't resist posting a pic. I know it has nothing to do with service mats.

It's not if you work on your own car. What you need are some auto shop classes (other than your brother).

You need to buy me a service mat, since your probably going to bring your car over to my house any how for service.
