I've been lurking for about a year. A health issue in March '11 derailed my initial search. I joined NSXCA and posted here back then and was pleasantly surprised to receive a few emails from sellers who weren't advertising openly. Although I have a lead on a very nice one in the northeast here that I hope to look at very soon, I'd thought I'd drop a line here again nonetheless. I know these musts/wants are pretty typical to most but I'll list them anyhow. Simply put, I'm looking for a well-maintained, well-documented stock 5/6 speed:
"Musts" are well-maintained, mostly stock, and with a manual trans.
Strong "wants" are no salvage/rebuild, limited bodywork, original engine, an interior that isn't tired and is relatively rattle-free (car hasn't been beaten up),and it hasn't seen too much track time. Coupe is desired rather than a T. The speakers/amps, window regulators/thingies, and A/C have either been upgraded or had their issues sorted out.
"Preferences" are silver, black, white, blue, imola...over black or tan - I've never seen ivory in person to judge it... Less than 125k miles, the less the better. All/any years: 1991 and up. Not exposed to too much harsh weather...
My budget is somewhere between the most I'd be willing to pay for one exactly like yours and the least you'll accept. :smile: Actually, after reading so many buyer/seller stories, I'm not holding out for the deal of a lifetime. I'm ready to buy the keeper that's perfect for me. Mr. Bromley's buyer bought just in time - any later and he probably would have missed out... :wink:
Location doesn't matter as much, I'd love to turn it into a vacation road trip.
Please PM me, and if you can - please include the additional basics like location, exterior/interior colors, condition description, accident/paint history, general comments on major maintenance service completed (and what's soon to be needed), modifications, any issues worked out like radio/windows/HVAC, etc. I'm going to ask for those anyway.
