JGTC is coming to the US for the first time as part of GT Live on December 18 & 19, 2004 at California Speedway. GT Live is a major automotive festival that features JGTC, drifting, a time attack, an autocross, manufacturer ride & drives, kart racing, RC car racing, a car show, a sound off competition, a dyno challenge, an exhibitor mall, a motorcycle stunt show as well as the chance for consumers to get rides with professional drivers in production cars.

Latest word from "event management" is that:
- We have invited 15 GT500 (500 hp) and 10 GT300 (300 hp)teams.
- List of participating teams will be finalized by the end of this month (July 2004).
- You will see at least 2 JGTC NSX's maybe more.

JGTC content will run as a segment on Redline TV, a new show, which airs on SpikeTV every Saturday at 11:30am. Redline TV targets the tuner market and focuses on three core themes: drifting, JGTC and tuner cars.

JGTC content will focus on the series in general, the cars and the drivers. More information on Redline TV is available at http://www.redline-tv.com.

The premiere episode of Redline TV was not too bad. A few obligatory bits of eye candy (highly-modded cars and babettes, etc), but also:
- some cool commercials of the coming JGTC USA event (GT Live)
- about 5+ minute segment on JGTC racing

The rest of the show was on import tuner cars (mostly r_ce rocket stuff), as well as drifting competition.

Subsequent episodes will feature short spots on JGTC as a regular feature, including a focus on a car/driver/team (a different one each week).

Hey Awesome post !!!

I hope many of us will be able to break away from our busy lives and book airfare and hotel/rentalcars early. This will really be somthing awesome to experience!!!

Keep us updated with the details, and I'll hope to see many of you there, with or without your NSX's. (unfortunatly I'll have to leave mine home in ORD).
