I put some Zanardi rims on my Sebring Silver NSX, recently. The weather finally cleared up and I was able to snap a few shots:

The wheel style looks good but the dark color of the wheels on a bright colored car make them appear that they are dirty and/or covered heavily in brake dust. I wanted the seven spokers for my '91 silver but waited until the '97+ satin silver finish ones arrived since the '94-'96 gunmetal color wheels on a silver car look like they are covered heavily in brake dust. But to each his own. :)

Greetings Ojas:

The car is looking amazing man. After the rims its like the car got younger. Looks like you're all set for now..

except---you need to slam that mofo!

I agree with Vytas, the dark colored Zanardi wheels does not look as good on your bright Sebring Silver. You need to sell your set of Zanardi wheels to me. I will pay you a fair price for them, serious! :)

The car looks in great. I chose to go the other direction however and install the shinny rims. Love to see what else is being done with the Sebring.

These are beautiful wheels. They are lightweight and very aggressive looking.

Regarding dark wheels on a light color car, may be you can consider polishing the lips to brighten up the wheels and give it a more defined outline like this one:

I have never considered gunmetal gray but I quickly warmed up to it.

I don't mean to be the devil's advocate. But the Zanardi wheels look dirty on the car. The original Type-S have silver version of the Zanardis and they look much better. If you can find my buddy Miled on Prime, he can show you his Sebring Silver with the Type-S wheels.
As far as the LE37s, I think the spoke design and the polished lip made a night-and-day difference. They actually look very handsome on Chris' car, IMO, even better than the Meisters. It is not just the shades that matter most but the combo of shapes, spoke designs, and lips.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Y'all are right: It is definately dark. Actually, I was not sure how it would look, but I figured I'd give it a shot. So far, I'm surprised: To me, it looks better than I'd thought. I have another set of rims (in the process of being refinished). I'll keep the Zanardis on for a few months and how I like them. Wheels are easy to change. :)

I've seen this NSX (picture courtesy of NSXBuilder). Type-S wheels in original color does look nice on silver.

Ojas the rims are nice but you need those prodrives.:D
Nice photo shop the rims would look better if you added the WW kit in BLACK to mach the scoop. ;)

Ojas, very, very nice :) I'm curious where did you pick the rims up form? I assume, and this is most likely correct, that through acura i would either have to sell a kidney or my first born child.

Ojas,

Now that I'm at home looking at your car on a regular 19" monitor, it look a ton better than when I first saw it on my laptop at work.

I'll bet the wheels probably look 10 times better in person than in photos. That has always been the problem with dark color wheels when I see them in photos. I changed my mind when I installed the Volks on my car.

I definitely think that you should keep them on for a few months and see how you like them. If you still prefer a lighter color, may be you can consider either polishing them or painting them a shade darker than sebring silver, I'll bet it'll be very stunning in person and in photos.

As I complimented Miled's good taste when he got his wheels, that goes to you too. Those are some high quality wheels.

Whoa...

Just hold up there!

I love it Ojas! That is a fantastic looking car. It is amazing what a set of wheels will do for a car. I remember when I saw your machine at NSteXpo and think it that it would look so much better with some fancy wheels. Well...I need not think anymore.

A very fine choice.

All, thanks again for the compliments.

Actually, I was not exactly in the market for these rims, but was fortunate enough to run across a used set in great condition. I just had to get them. You're right about buying new from Acura.

CDub: I think you're absolutely right. I like the way it looks (in person). It's darker than the body, but not as dark as the pictures suggest.

Mark: Thank you, thank you. I'm "gettin' there."

Ojas,

I’m a little late jumping in this thread but I think the Sebring Silver with Zanardi rims looks great. If you are ever in Houston let me know I would love to see your car. I will PM you if I am heading to Austin. During the summer months the wife and I head to Lake Travis with the boat but unfortunately have to use the truck to pull the boat.

Here are a couple of pictures of my car with polished mesh wheels. As mentioned above, pictures sometimes do not do the cars justice. I am still learning how to use the digital camera I bought. The pictures I have been taking are too large to post on prime and by time I resize them to fit on prime they look blurry and the spokes on the wheels seem to run together.

Ojas,
It was great to meet you in Dallas recently at NSteXpo. I really like the Zanardi rims, but I've got to agree with some that the dark color makes them look as if they might be covered with brake dust from afar. At the end of the day, it's what you like that matters. That''s why it's so much fun to personalize you car. You might consider what Norm did here in Tulsa with his. He bought a brand new set of Zanardis from Acura (I think you can still survive on one kidney) and had them chromed. They look absolutely great. I don't think the chrome cost was too bad (maybe $500 - $600 plus shipping) but I can have him send you some digital pics if you like.
