Gentleman (and Ladies - you know who you are),

Its been a while, and I hope you all are doing well. I just got my seats back from re-covering at Old Skool Kustoms in Monticello, MN and thought I'd toss up the first round pics before I put together my site page.

The story of these goes back a ways, but the gist of it is I wanted light, adjustable back NSX-R seats - but they don't make them! I had my old Jamex tube frame race seats that I loved the feel of, but the material was going to hell, fading, ripping, etc., so I asked the musical question, "Can I get the exact same material that Recaro used to cover the CF buckets in the NSX-R?" And the answer came back 'Yes!'

The outside is the Recaro foam-backed Jersey in red, and the inside is perforated red suede. Here's how they got to where they are:

I'll drop a pic here when I get them installed.

Now I'm not says these are the coolest seats you can buy for less than $8000 each or whatever the hell the factory ones cast, but they are damned close.

Cheers!

Holy Smokes Ed, buddy good to see you on line. Will you be making it to Ohio? Oh those seats are nice too!

Its good to be back!

Here's what they look like in their installed, undiluted glory:

The new material makes them a bit more firm (which is welcome) and when you sit down you are stuck in place - not that the side bolsters would let you go anywhere before. I love 'em!

Old Skool Kustoms Car Show Pics

A beauty day, lots of cars, babes - even one NSX! The guys from OSK throw a great event, give away prizes (I won a complete satellite radio system) and know how to have fun.

The highlight of the event was the Radio Flyer Drags (started by the newly crowned Ms. Greasy Kenny) where teams fought there way down the main drag, turned at a cone and back to the line (I guess it was more autocross than drags...). There was even some carnage, which is always nice. The OSK crew teams faced off in the final, kicking all 6 of the 'civilian' teams butts.

Seeing as these boys did my seats, I thought I could at least show up for their event. On the way back to Minneapolis I saw another red NSX outbound on I10 outside Big Lake - who was it?
