I do not think the height of the back is as important as the width of the shoulder supports. Those tend to bump into the window or the center upholstery piece with the rear speaker. I am in the process of putting a Sparco Corsa in the track car. It is a very tall seat (I am 6'3") and there is no vertical clearance problems, but if the interior was still in place, I do not think it would fit width wise.
