I need to know the part # for the part the connects from the electrics in the seat back to the fuse box. With the seat comes a plug (i'll call it plug A) that connects into the car (into plug B), my plug B is bad and I need a new one.

Dude,

You ask a tough question!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway to find this go to the SERVICE MANUAL. Page 23-44/45 show the seats and their internal harnesses. For the drivers side you will see connections C781-C786.

They are connected to the "SIDE HARNESS" through Connector C525 located on page 23-37.

NOw once you see this you will realize that there is just no way you will easily replace this harness and the cost will be unbelieveable. Once you see the drawing and look at where the harness is routed it will be obvious. The best way to go about this is to get one (connector) out of a wreck and splice it in.

The function of this connector is to supply power and ground to the two motors (recliner and slider). So they are two sets of power and ground leads. The power leads are individually fused, since the motors tend to draw a lot of current.

The "power distribution" schematic is on page 23-50, you will see two 20A fuses for the two drivers side seat motors.

You could take all these pages to the dealer to get the part numbers but I have to tell you it is really not the way to go. If it is a real problem (no wreck to get it out of) I would even consider swapping out BOTH connectors (Seat end and Harness end to do a good, cost effective, solution/repair. If you go this route, check that the pins in the conectors you choose will handle 20A.

BTW, I do not believe you will be able to go to Acura/Honda and buy the connector, only the whole harness. (But I would ask to be sure)

Also this may be a common connector used in many Honda products with power seats, so do your homework!!

Yow! After look at Larry's post I'd say the best bet is indeed to get one out of a wrecked car or just try and match the connector through some electronic parts source (maybe even Radio Shack - cut the bad one off and bring it in).

If you are lucky you can find a crimp-on or tap-style connector that will just clamp onto the wire ends. If not, solder it on, put some good heat shrink wrap over it and be done!
