Got a Wings West Front lip and sideskirts, plus the Downforce '02 style rear that I need painted and installed. Anyone recommend a good autobody/paint shop in the SoCal area? I'm in Long Beach. I want guys that are good with color matching and with good paint durability.

I know this great shop, but it is top secret....it's called MV Designz. Nobody knows about it and I would like to keep it that way. Don't tell anyone else. :biggrin:
MV Designz isn't the cheapest place, but there's a reason why so many of us have brought our NSX there. They use high quality product and are very detail oriented. They're definitely the people to take care of your NSX if you like things done right.

I know an NSX owner who did an 02+ conversion at another (reputable) shop and had to take it to Mike to correct everything that was done wrong with the conversion.
The decision is yours to make...

Recommendation for a Socal shop that can take care of your nsx and get it done right would be MV design (just incase nobody has mention it yet). Mike and the crew at MV specialize only in show cars, building nothing but 1-off vehicles either for commericals or tour events. Just this past month they had 5 nsx at the shop, so that should at least tell you if they are good or not. Last month they finished an awesome build for Scion which was the XB fitted with a custom MV design widebody. The car turned out so nice, that Scion gave them 2 more cars this month to do another custom build. Mike has worked on my cars from the getgo (2000 bmw 328ci and my 93' nsx).
The choice is yours to in the end, but i think $1400 for the install of your parts is a pretty good deal considering you will be very happy. Do it once, and do it right.

I've also heard that San Pedro Auto Body is good. They are the shop that Acura used to fix any damaged NSXs that came off the boat. They have painted hundreds of NSXs and the painter there has over 25 years experience. They usually have an NSX or two in the shop.
I have met and talked with both Mike (MV) and Fabian (San Padro Auto Body). Both of them are very knowledgeable and provided honest expectations.
I have read very good things about MV Designs. I have also heard good things about Lanzini's which is located a few blocks from Autowave. I saw the work Mitch (the owner) did on Tan's old NSX-T and it was superb.
You should also consider calling Chaffey Auto body. They do great work and they work on all of the cars from my dealership. They also work on many vintage cars as well. Call Juan (he is the owner) and tell him Wilson from Sierra Honda sent you. 626-359-1184
