ScienceofSpeed Rapid Shift Knob won't thread

I just got my new ScienceofSpeed Rapid Shift Knob and after removing the factory shift knob, I can't get the threads to match up and screw on. My threads on the shaft are good.
I am thinking the internal threads of the knob may hv a problem.
Does anyone know what size the threads/shaft are?
I may try to tap it, but may just wait until I can get in touch with Chris or Seth.
I don't want to force it and make it worse.
Anyone else hv this problem?

Hi Paul -- This is not normal. Another 2 from the same batch just tested out ok. Something may be wrong with the knob you received. I'll send you out a new one (which I just tested) on Monday, and we'll set up a call-tag for the one you have now.
