ScienceofSpeed has been a leader of products and services for the NSX since 2001. Headquartered in Chandler, AZ, our 9,700 sqft facility houses our product development, sales, support, and warehouse departments which serves our customers worldwide. Our facility features an advanced AWD Superflow chassis dynamometer, filtered engine and transmission assembly room, ECU electronics assembly area, and full service facility.
While the spirit of the original NSX lives on, the New NSX is a dramatically different vehicle than the original NSX employing automotive technological advances that differentiates it not only from the original NSX, but also modern supercars.
The New NSX’s advanced hybrid powertrain, direct injection turbocharged engine, and intensive integrated computer networking creates unique challenges for aftermarket product development. In preparation for these challenges, ScienceofSpeed has increased its capabilities with the acquisition of a Superflow all wheel drive chassis dynamometer enclosed in a sound proofing test chamber. This system uses mechanically linked rollers that accurately simulate a rolling road with the ability to induce graded loads and simulate airflow at speed – crucial test of the AWD hybrid platform featured in the New NSX.
In addition, the addition of an advanced data acquisition system allows ScienceofSpeed to monitor and data log not only performance variables but also chassis and engine fuel mixtures, temperatures, and pressures – important to understanding the effects of performance modifications on the vehicle and engine to ensure reliability. ScienceofSpeed has also added proprietary engine control unit (ECU) reading and writing tools for performance ECU development.
We invite New NSX owners to participate in our private new product discussion forum and beta program (please contact ScienceofSpeed for access).
