SBBC Drives North on July 9th!**Update

After another great drive on June 11th, where we enjoyed the start of the 24 of LeMans with a great breakfast at the Front Porch Café on SoBe followed by a three stop (though it wasn't part of the original strategy ) drive to the Oyster House, we're announcing our next drive.

Seeing as our last drive took us South and then West, this drive will take us North and then East.

On July 9th, 2011 we will be meeting at the Dunkin' Donuts in Weston (on the corner of Griffin and Weston Rd) at 10:00 am. From there we will take a series of roads until reaching our destination; the RUM BAR in Palm Beach on Florida's east coast.

We'll have lunch there and then take a different set of roads to get "back home."

Please let us know who will be joining us and if you're bringing a guest so that we can notify the restaurant.

10:00 am: Meet at Dunkin' Donuts in Weston (have a light breakfast if you'd like)

10:30 am: Start the drive!

12:00 noon: Have lunch at The RUM BAR

2:00 pm: "Back home" drive starts

Have you ever been to the Rum Bar??? It's a dirt, rock pit parking lot! Worse than this... it's outside in mid day heat with no a/c and the place is definately NOT known for food. Very poor choice in my opinion.

You would do MUCH better to meet directly across the intracoastal at the 'Waterway' restaurant. Great tiki huts with misters. The restaurant is both inside and outside. The food is fairly good too. Best of all, a large paved parking lot that the valet will gladly rope off for you.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I've never actually been to the Rum Bar, it was suggested to us. We'll look into your suggestion and again thanks.

Changing the final destination spot is not a big deal, in fact this is all about driving our cars.

Not familiar with the Palm Beach area, but I'm sure the final destination that we will end up going to will be great.
SBBC always puts together great events.

Due to so many requests, we have decided to add two other meeting points.

Aside from those of us meeting in Weston, RJRacerX will be leading a group up from Miami. That Miami group will be meeting at Dolphin Mall by the restaurant Texas de Brazil at 10:00. From there this group will be driving (10:30) to the Bass ProShops on Griffin and I-95 where the Weston group will also be arriving. The third meeting point for all of those "out east" is obviously the Bass ProShops on Griffin and 95 10:30. We'll all be leaving at 11:15, heading to our final destination.
