Wow. I bought my sister a new saturn last year. I hope this one will drive a little better. I kinda like the design, looks MR2ish with a hint of S2K. :biggrin:

That is a nice looking car. The redesigned Miata is going to flop as it is without the help of cars like this and the upcoming Solstice.
It is very nice.

checked it out in the Chicago Autoshow. Although I liked the styling...I saw many cheap looking parts to it. Maybe they did not polish well, but the crome portion looked cheap, the wheels looked cheap. some interior parts looked really plastic. It made me believe the $20k price tag even more.
I've been seeing a black Saturn Sky around my neighborhood the last few weeks.
For $20k it's cheap and easy to own. It's only half of the Lexus IS 250/350 I was looking at.
Too bad GM is sold out of the Sky this year.

Yea, they look similar but the Speedster is made by Lotus for Opel, same platform as Elise.... no afiliation with the sky. But it's funny because I believe Opel is owned by GM???
I'm very shocked - a Saturn that looks nice. And a roadster that's DARN cheap. Could be a brilliant business move - people are looking for smaller, more economical cars, which usually means cars that are less fun. Not so with a roadster that can be had for under 25k out the door...

If I can save up, I would buy one of these second hand in a year or so. I think its the best looking car. The solstice looks like someone had too much fun with the French curve and make it look like crap.
Hopefully the aftermarket is jumping in on this car.

It's actually an OPEL GT. I drove the sky, looks nice, very nice, felt like crap though I think. Needs more pep and power, and bit less body roll. The motor made it feel like I was driving a 4 banger S-10 pickup. Then again I'm also bias because I LOVE the S2k...... Still, this car TURNED HEADS, and made people back up in traffic to read what was on the back of the car.

Screw the turbo. how about a mallet tuned car with new gen vette engine or an even MORE tuned 600+ hp version???
