San Simeon Overnight Run - February 13-14, 2010

I take it you're proposing Feb 13-14, 2010 for another shot at this (Valentine's day weekend)? If most are leaving from Bay area I could meet up on 1 or 101 depending on which way you take. Only thing is Feb = high chance of rain, but sounds like last year, many turned out in spite of that. waiting for more news here...thanks again YoJack!
This is actually the 6th year for this run on the same weekend. We have been very lucky each year and even with a chance of showers we have had fun.
We won't be hitting 101 until Paso Robles but we'll touch bases that morning if you decide to join us. Remember, everyday should be Valentine's Day!! I'm sure Seiko would agree :smile:
February 14 is not only Valentine's Day, it is also Chinese New Year. Majority of us might not be able to make it.
Same motel, Quality Inn (805-927-3998). You can reserve just your rooms or check into their package deal that includes the castle and the dinner coupon. They have remodeled the entire hotel with new carpets, windows, furniture and beds in the rooms. Much nicer and the rate if $99.99 single or double occupancy per night. When you call let them know that you are with Yolanda Atkinson's group for the special rate.
Some people are spending just one night and returning early on the 14th. You would still have time to celebrate Valentine's and the Chinese New Year. Boy, it sure would be nice to take your wife away for Valentine's Day!:smile: Yolanda
